In Sha Qinghua's "Mechanical Landscapes" series, ancient rock surfaces are reimagined, with their myriad cavities morphing into intricate, interconnected fantasy gears. The ceaseless motion of these gears represents the enduring imprints of time's passage, prompting reflections on its relentless flow. Each gearwheel is a testament to the vast interconnectivity of the cosmos. 

In this piece, the imposing mountains, punctuated by the distinctive egg-shaped trees, draw inspiration from the fabled Treasure Island, immortalized in the 18th-century novel by Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson. These mountains are bathed in the warm glow of the morning sun,  exuding both an enigmatic allure and pulsating vitality, beckoning the viewer towards discovery and exploration.
